Matador Management Group (MMG) was founded in 2022 with the vision of circumventing inefficiencies in the publishing industry to bring the silenced voices of truly amazing writers to the mainstream. We are redefining publishing by tailoring our processes to the evolving preferences of modern readers.

  • The titles we represent are published exclusively on Osiọbe, the social media app for readers and writers. Our titles are not found anywhere else.
  • Our authors receive monthly royalty payments from the publisher according to the reader activity statistics of their eBooks and Audiobooks.
  • We promote every book and author we represent with the same dedication and let our readers decide what they love.

Genres We Represent

We represent most genres of adult and new adult fiction. We also represent a narrower selection of adult nonfiction. We seek stories that blend and expand genres, challenge narratives, reimagine motifs, tropes and story arcs, lay love bare with unexpected consequences, and explore the human condition to its core. We want to see the old gods broken.

Action & Adventure
We represent select action and adventure. But as with all the genres we do represent, we are more drawn to stories that don't read like everything else we've found on the shelves. We're not too fond of highly predictable plots.
African Mythology
We've all read about Zeus and Superman. Now, tell us about the Orishas of Yoruba mythology, the heartwarming folktales of African-American cultures, the Tokoloshe of Xhosa and Zulu cultures. Spin the majestic folklore of African nations across the world into the kind of riveting fiction we don't read enough of.
Erotica
We want the spicy stuff. All of it. Unabashedly! Send us erotica of all stripes, especially when the action is driven by broader issues of the human condition.
Family Saga
A well-written tale of the troubles and triumphs of families is always welcome. Keep in mind that wealth and power are not the only things that make a family interesting.
Fantasy/Magical Realism
We want to read fantasy that is not set in or based on ancient Europe. Show us fantasy, urban fantasy and magical realism that takes us into the many underexplored cultures and kingdoms of Earth.
Horror/Paranormal
Send us horror tales from cultures and settings less explored. A slasher from the farmlands of Brazil in the chaos of WWI. A vengeful sprite who haunts a Nigerian boarding school. The ghost of Cinderella if she had died before the ball.
The Human Condition
Nothing unites us like the human condition. We want to read more stories about the struggles and triumphs of being human on Earth.
Love Stories
We want human stories about love! Eros, mania, ludus, philia, pragma, all of it. Tell us a love story that doesn't sound like every romance novel we have read. Let your story remind us why everybody loves love.
Mystery/Crime
We especially love the mystery/crime genre. Send us traditional crime stories with the badass detective, or throw in new, unusual twists in the plotline. Whatever you do, mystify us.
Romance
We represent traditional romance but favour bold variations in the overdone boy-meets-girl or happily-ever-after narratives. We want to see more romance that mirrors the difficulties and aspirations of our modern-day love lives.
Tales By Moonlight
Many African bed-time stories were told to children, under the soft glow of moonlight, by the great sages and storytellers of old. We seek retellings of the crafty machinations of the tortoise and the righteous dedication of the hare. Send us stories to remind us why, as children, we lived for the magic of those parables told by moonlight.
Thriller/Suspense
This is another one of our favourite genres. We want to see well-written thrillers of all subgenres with a modern or uncommon take on them.
Science Fiction
We represent select sci-fi. The more unusual the take, the more likely we'll be interested. We would love to see more sci-fi addressing the past, lost technology, ancient science and missed opportunities.
Short Story Collections
We love short stories of every genre and want to see more of them. We will however only represent full collections of 70K words or more.
Nonfiction
In nonfiction we want to see more Cultural Exposés, meaningful Motivational works, true Self-help & Guidance, Philosophy & Insight, Humour & Commentary, and Guides & How-To Manuals.

Upcoming releases from Osiobe

Asiyan is born with the powers of the divi. She can move matter through space, hijack human minds and bodies, and spread her life force over Earth in search of anything.
