Voice Actor
Matador Management Group is looking for voice actors (male and female) to record scripts for audiobooks. Ideal voice actors for these positions will speak fluent English with Nigerian, British and American accents, and be able to switch from one to the other effortlessly.
This is a remote position requiring a self-governing professional and will be evaluated on the basis of targets met, rather than time spent. The perfect candidate for this role is a highly experienced voice actor with the right instincts, vision and style, who also requires minimal supervision to deliver in a timely fashion.
Requirements:
- Clarity of voice and excellent enunciation.
- Access to professional standard audio recording environment and equipment.
- Experience in media, communications or related field is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Voice actors are expected to apply the engaging cadence of a good storyteller, rather than just read a script. The ability to infuse the right energy, cadence and tone for each scene is important for this position.
- Our voice actors are required to record and deliver high-quality finished audio files which follow the 10 sound quality guidelines below.
- Voce actors are expected to complete all projects in time. Delivery within the deadline is of the highest importance in this position.
- Understanding and adhering to local and international copyright and privacy laws and regulations.
Payment Structure (PFH)
We pay PFH (Per Finished Hour). This means we pay by the hour for properly recorded and edited (finished) hours of audio. We do not pay for the actual time it may take a professional to properly produce a finished recording.
IMPORTANT:
Recorded audio quality must meet the following guidelines:
- Use WAV or FLAC file format.
- 2-channel stereo.
- PCM (Pulse Code Modulation).
- Constant bit rate.
- Sampling rate of at least 44.1kHz.
- At least 16 bits per sample.
- Free from ambient noise.
- RMS must be between -24db and -14db.
- There should be no more than 2 seconds of silence at the beginning or end of each script, chapter, etc.
- There should be no more than 2 seconds of silence within a the script unless otherwise directed.
A minimum of three years’ experience in this field is required for eligibility.
